sarva-dvāreṣu dehe ’smin prakāśa upajāyate
jñānaṁ yadā tadā vidyād vivṛddhaṁ sattvam ity uta

Word-for-word meanings

yadā — when;  jñānam — knowledge;  prakāśaḥ — illuminating the factual nature of objects;  upajāyate — arises;  sarva-dvāreṣu — in all the gates [i.e., the cognitive senses];  asmin dehe — of this body;  tadā — then;  vidyāt — one should know;  iti — thus;  sattvam — that sattva;  vivṛddham — [is] predominant;  uta — indeed.

Translation

When knowledge illuminating the factual nature of objects arises in all the cognitive senses, which are the gates into the body, then one should know that sattva is indeed predominant.
