Translation
O best of the Bharatas, now hear from Me about the three kinds of happiness. That happiness in which, through regulated practice [of dharma], one experiences joy and brings about the end of misery, which is like poison at first but like nectar in the end, and which is born of a placid intellect fixed on the self, is declared as sāttvika.
