BG 2.12
न त्वेवाहं जातु नासं न त्वं नेमे जनाधिपाः ।
न चैव न भविष्यामः सर्वे वयमतः परम् ॥
न चैव न भविष्यामः सर्वे वयमतः परम् ॥
na tv evāhaṁ jātu nāsaṁ na tvaṁ neme janādhipāḥ
na caiva na bhaviṣyāmaḥ sarve vayam ataḥ param
na caiva na bhaviṣyāmaḥ sarve vayam ataḥ param
Word-for-word meanings
tu — but; na eva — it is not at all the case; jātu — [that] at any time whatsoever; aham — I; na āsam — did not exist; na — nor; tvam — you; na — nor; ime — these; jana-adhipāḥ — kings; na ca eva — and neither indeed is it the case; ataḥ param — that hereafter; sarve vayam — all of us; na bhaviṣyāmaḥ — shall not exist.
Translation
There was never a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor any of these kings. Nor in the future shall any of us cease to exist.
