BG 13.23
य एवं वेत्ति पुरुषं प्रकृतिं च गुणैः सह ।
सर्वथा वर्तमानोऽपि न स भूयोऽभिजायते ॥
सर्वथा वर्तमानोऽपि न स भूयोऽभिजायते ॥
ya evaṁ vetti puruṣaṁ prakṛtiṁ ca guṇaiḥ saha
sarvathā vartamāno ’pi na sa bhūyo ’bhijāyate
sarvathā vartamāno ’pi na sa bhūyo ’bhijāyate
Word-for-word meanings
yaḥ — one who; vetti — knows; evam — in this manner; puruṣam — the conscious living being; ca — and; prakṛtim — material nature; saha — along with; guṇaiḥ — the guṇas; saḥ — he; na abhijāyate — does not take birth; bhūyaḥ — again; vartamānaḥ api — even though present; sarvathā — in whatever situation.
Translation
One who knows in this manner the puruṣa and prakṛti, along with its guṇas, does not take birth again, regardless of whatever his present condition of life may be.
