BG 2.23
नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः ।
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः ॥
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः ॥
nainaṁ chindanti śastrāṇi nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ
na cainaṁ kledayanty āpo na śoṣayati mārutaḥ
na cainaṁ kledayanty āpo na śoṣayati mārutaḥ

śastrāṇi — weapons; na — cannot; chindanti — cut [to pieces]; enam — this [the self]; pāvakaḥ — fire; na — cannot; dahati — burn; enam — this [the self]; āpaḥ — water; na — cannot; kledayanti — wet; enam — this [the self]; ca — and; mārutaḥ — wind; na — cannot; śoṣayati — dry [it].
Translation
Weapons cannot cut the self nor can fire burn it; water cannot wet the self nor can wind dry it.
