हतो वा प्राप्स्यसि स्वर्गं जित्वा वा भोक्ष्यसे महीम् ।
तस्मादुत्तिष्ठ कौन्तेय युद्धाय कृतनिश्चयः ॥

hato vā prāpsyasi svargaṁ jitvā vā bhokṣyase mahīm
tasmād uttiṣṭha kaunteya yuddhāya kṛta-niścayaḥ

Word-for-word meanings
hataḥ vā — if you are killed; prāpsyasi — you will attain; svargam — heaven; jitvā vā — or if your are victorious; bhokṣyase — you will enjoy; mahīm — the earth; tasmāt — therefore; uttiṣṭha — stand up; kaunteya — O son of Kuntī; kṛta-niścayaḥ — having firmly resolved; yuddhāya — to fight.
Translation
If you are killed [while fighting], you will attain heaven, or if you are victorious, you will enjoy dominion over the earth. Therefore, stand up, O son of Kuntī, having firmly resolved to fight.
