विषया विनिवर्तन्ते निराहारस्य देहिनः ।
रसवर्जं रसोऽप्यस्य परं दृष्ट्वा निवर्तते ॥
viṣayā vinivartante nirāhārasya dehinaḥ
rasa-varjaṁ raso ’py asya paraṁ dṛṣṭvā nivartate

Word-for-word meanings

viṣayāḥ — the sense objects;  vinivartante — may be given up;  dehinaḥ — by an embodied being;  nirāhārasya — who is undergoing abstinence;  rasa-varjam — with the exception of the attachment [for them];  dṛṣṭvā — [however] upon seeing or realizing;  param — the Supreme [i.e., Bhagavān];  rasaḥ api — even this attachment;  asya — of his;  nivartate — disappears.

Translation

Although the sense objects may be given up by an embodied being who is practicing abstinence, the attachment for them persists. When, however, there is immediate realization of the Supreme [i.e., Bhagavān] even this attachment of his disappears.
