BG 7.5
अपरेयमितस्त्वन्यां प्रकृतिं विद्धि मे पराम् ।
जीवभूतां महाबाहो ययेदं धार्यते जगत् ॥

apareyam itas tv anyāṁ prakṛtiṁ viddhi me parām
jīva-bhūtāṁ mahā-bāho yayedaṁ dhāryate jagat
jīva-bhūtāṁ mahā-bāho yayedaṁ dhāryate jagat
Word-for-word meanings
iyam — this; aparā — [is My] inferior [nature]; mahā-bāho — O mighty-armed one; tu — but; viddhi — you should know [that]; anyām — distinct; itaḥ — from this; me — [is] My; parām — superior; prakṛtim — nature; jīva-bhūtām — [which consists of] the individual self; yayā — by whom; idam — this; jagat — cosmos; dhāryate — is sustained.
Translation
This is My inferior nature, O mighty-armed. But you should know that distinct from this, is My superior nature which consists of the individual self ( jīva) by whom the cosmos is sustained.
